The Renwick Hotel
I was commissioned to create several art pieces for permanent display for the opening of The Renwick Hotel in Midtown Manhattan in 2015 under the art direction of Interior Designer Kim Edwards at Stonehill Taylor. These pieces included a large string art mural in the lobby and a smaller abstract string piece in the Presidential Suite. In 2017, I was asked to create artwork for the living room of the Gertrude Stein suite in the theme of her novel, Three Lives, as well as a custom stencil design of Rose is a rose is a rose.
Children’s Book Illustrations
My aunt, who taught for over 40 years, wrote a children’s book about a field trip she took with her second grade class in Ellicott City, MD. I was honored to have been asked to illustrate the book, and creating the watercolor illustrations of historic buildings and landmarks was a special experience since I visited this historic town during my childhood and beyond. These are some of the illustrations from the book, Downtown Brown’s Visit to Historic Ellicott City and Clark Elioak Farm, written by Anne Clark Schoenhut.
